GC CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT, LLC Rental Protection Plan (RPP) Addendum

Last Update: July 13, 2025

The Rental Protection Plan ("RPP") is an optional product offered by GC Construction Equipment, LLC (GC Construction)  that modifies specific terms of the Rental and Service Agreement. The following terms define the scope and limitations of RPP.

NOTICE:

For all rentals of equipment not licensed for road use, customers must either:

  • Provide proof of property insurance in accordance with Section 7 of the Terms and Conditions of Rental Contract, or

  • Purchase the Rental Protection Plan (RPP).

RPP is not mandatory if valid insurance is provided.

Important: RPP is not insurance. It is only available when executed simultaneously with a Rental and Service Agreement.

RPP COVERAGE OVERVIEW:

For an additional fee, RPP provides a damage waiver that limits the customer's financial responsibility for direct physical damage or theft of rented equipment.

Before purchasing, customers should check their own insurance coverage and deductible.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

A. DAMAGE WAIVER

Customer may purchase the Rental Protection Plan (RPP) from GC Construction Equipment. The RPP is not insurance but, for a fee of fifteen percent (15%) of the standard Rental Rate (excluding any discounts), waives all claims against Customer for uninsured damage to the Equipment for the first $1,500 of damage.

For damage or loss over $1,500, Customer will pay a $1,500 deductible and 50% of all repairs up to $12,000. If damage exceeds $12,000, the RPP is no longer applicable and Customer will pay 100% of all repairs or replacement costs over $12,000, up to the full “market value” of the Equipment.

Customer continues to be responsible to pay lost Rental Rate penalties until Equipment repair bills and/or the deductible have been paid in full. The RPP only applies to uninsured loss or damage to the Equipment and does not release or diminish Customer’s obligations under any other provisions herein. The RPP is subject to certain exceptions. (See Rental Protection Plan Addendum, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference, for Waiver Exceptions).

B. USER

The customer or an approved user will be the only operator of the equipment. Use must comply with all applicable laws and terms in the Rental and Service Agreement.

C. EXCLUSIONS

The RPP does not cover:

  • Loss or damage to tires, rims or tubes caused by blowouts, cuts, punctures, bruises, or wear.

  • Damage resulting from abuse, neglect, or intentional misuse of the equipment.

  • Any exclusions as defined in Section 8 of the Terms and Conditions of Rental Contract.

D. FEE

The RPP has a cost of 15% of the rental charges, plus applicable taxes. This fee is non-refundable and applies per rental period.
